GoTaylors Ltd was founded on a lifetime spent in the professional hairdressing industry. Behind the company is Daniel (Christian) Taylor, whose career spans more than 50 years and has been dedicated to exceptional hairdressing, premium client service and building successful salon businesses.
Daniel, who is professionally known throughout the industry as Christian Taylor, originally planned to attend art college before discovering that hairdressing offered the perfect combination of creativity, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship. Before specialising in hairdressing, he gained valuable experience within the wider beauty and wellness industry at the renowned Leida Costigan Health Farm, developing an early appreciation for the importance of outstanding customer care and premium service.
He later trained at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon salon on Bond Street, London, where he developed the technical precision and attention to detail that would shape the rest of his career. During this time he also contributed to editorial styling for leading fashion publications including Vogue and Harper's & Queen, gaining invaluable experience working at the highest professional standards.
Daniel went on to establish his first salon, Profile Hair Design, in Gerrards Cross. Over the following decades he built and managed four successful salons, earning a reputation for creating premium salon environments, developing talented teams and delivering exceptional experiences for clients. His hands-on experience as both a stylist and business owner has given him an in-depth understanding of every aspect of building and operating a successful salon.
Like many business owners, Daniel's journey has included significant challenges as well as achievements. A heart attack at the age of 48 required him to step back from the day-to-day running of his businesses, while the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic tested the resilience of the industry he has spent his life serving. These experiences strengthened his belief that lasting success is built through strong leadership, exceptional teams and genuine relationships with clients.
Today, GoTaylors Ltd reflects the next chapter of that journey.
"I've spent my entire working life around quality hairdressing and premium client service. I started in the beauty industry, trained at Vidal Sassoon, went on to own successful salons, and now I want to build a group of exceptional businesses that carry those standards forward. I'm not looking for a quick investment. I'm looking for businesses worth preserving and developing."
